Making the switch to solar sometimes feels as enticing as a trip to the dentist. You know you need to do it — you’re even starting to feel a little bit of pain. But, for now, you’re happy to keep it in the ‘too hard’ basket.
At Advantage Solar, we turn the whole process on its head, getting your solar system up and running in less than two weeks.* Here’s how you can swap your power bills for solar in three easy steps.
Step 1:
The consultation
Ditch the pressure-filled sales tactics and get a custom plan that’s designed to save you money with solar.
Rather than retrofitting your home and energy needs into a cut-and-paste solar solution, our approach is laser-focused on you. We’ll book you in for a custom consultation — either in person** or over Zoom — where we’ll find out how you use electricity in your home.
From there, we’ll create a custom plan that is designed to save you money. You can ask as many questions as you like, and we’ll take all the time you need to feel completely comfortable about your decision.
We hate pressure-filled sales tactics as much as the next person. So you won’t ever feel like you’ve got to sign up on the spot to take advantage of our excellent deals.
Step 2:
The installation
Once you know which solar products work best, it’s time to get those panels installed on your roof.
Behind the scenes, our team will be busy getting everything ready — lodging your rebates, making sure your grid connection paperwork is sorted and getting everything approved. Once we’ve received the green light to move forward, we’ll book your installation date and you will be on your way to becoming your own energy provider.
On the day, you can expect our friendly team of accredited installers to take the utmost care of your home, your panels and your roof. Installation typically takes one day to complete, but if we foresee any delays, we’ll make sure and let you know straight away.
Step 3:
The go-live
Good to go? We’ll get your system turning energy from the sun into your own bill-busting power supply.
Once your installation is complete, we’ll organise your inspection (if required) to check that your system is good to go and hand over your Certificate of Electrical Safety. From there? We’ll lodge your certification with your chosen energy retailer so you can start receiving your feed-in tariff.
Now that you’ve become your own energy provider, the real fun begins! We’ll work with you to start making little swaps to save even more money. Think: inverters, batteries, heat pumps and more — it’s all possible once you’re generating your own power.

*Our two-week timeframe is applicable from the time your rebates and finance are approved. Please note, if you live outside of a metro area then it may take longer.
**In-person consultations are currently only available to our Victorian customers. For all other consultations, you’ll receive a thorough plan over the phone or on a Zoom call.
