Sadly, it’s easy to hide forced labour and human rights violations in the solar panel supply chain. 40% of the global supply of polysilicon and between 15-30% of the cobalt used in lithium-ion batteries are sourced from regions where child labour, forced labour and human rights abuses are prevalent.*

As a business, we understand that we have a huge responsibility to take care of people and the planet. That’s why we partner with manufacturers who are actively working to achieve a carbon-neutral supply chain — and holding others to account as well.
One gold-star example is our partner Sungrow, who offsets their operations with over 13MW of solar installed on their factory facilities. They’ve also invested in a forest program to plant trees and facilitate wild animal breeding on their grounds. We love partnering with Sungrow as they release a yearly sustainability report for transparency for the past nine years.
